One of my long time friends asked me to create a card for her to give to her sister, thanking her for her friendship and for being by her side on her wedding day. The wedding colors are bright yellow and gray and will be held outdoors.
I used the Shadowing technique for the daisies and the Beautiful Wings embosslit folder for the butterflies. I've done the yellow/gray color combo for a card before but the more I use it, the more I love it! :)

Waving Good-bye Wednesday
I just held a Scrapbook class last week using the Thoroughly Modern DSP and color scheme and had some scraps left over, which was my inspiration for today's card. I always need Birthday cards and thank you notes, so I try to stock up on those when I get a chance.
For a card base with texture, I ran the base through the Square Lattice Textured Embossing Folder. I also spruced up the frosting on the cupcakes with some Dazzling Diamonds.
Waving good-bye to Bermuda Bay. Oh how I will miss thee! :)

Leftovers to Loveliness
I had a bunch of scraps left over from BFF's baby projects, so I decided to use them to create a few cards. I still have quite a bit of scraps left, but I think after these two cards I'm going to move away from this color scheme for a while. ha ha

More nursery stuff
My BFF, who is preggers with her first baby, asked me to decorate letters for her nursery of her baby's name to hang on the wall. Using the same color scheme as her nursery (and the shower card and diaper cake that I did for her), I finished them up this weekend to give to her. Here is the end result. I used the Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die to add a little character and dimension to the letters.

Hello Kitty
A friend of mine requested a birthday card for her 6 year old who loves Hello Kitty and the color purple. This is what I came up with. :) I used the wide oval punch for her face and the 5 petal punch for her ears.

Waving Good-bye Wednesday
I wasn't completely happy with this card when I first started it. This apricot color is just hideous when trying to match it with anything fresh and exciting....eek. But I just couldn't bring myself to make a card completely out of that color, I had to mix it with something. After about 30 minutes and 4 color combos later, this is what I came up with. :) I'm glad I went with something simple and let the ever-classic Black be the star of the show! Just proves that you can take an un-popular card, mix it with something classic and still have a great end result.
I added a thread of Apricot CS through the buttons to pop the color a little more. Since I don't have the Apricot Appeal marker, I used my Blender Pens and the Apricot Appeal ink to color in the stamped image and highlight the word "fabulous." To add some texture to the card, I ran the Bermuda Bay CS strip through the Big Shot using the Square Lattice Texture Embossing Folder.
Waving good-bye to Apricot Appeal and Bermuda Bay. So long, farewell!

Happy Mother's Day Picnic
My sister and I decided we would take my mom on a picnic for Mother's Day--she loves just spending quality time with us, so we thought that would be a nice extra touch for her. To tell her of our plans, I made this sandwich card, which was inspired by Lynn Pratt, who has amazing talent!
I wrote a little message on the cheese to tell her we were taking her on a picnic!

Camping Canvas
A friend of mine ordered a couple of canvases of her grandbabies for her daughter for Mother's Day. The boys' room will be decorated in antique camping gear, so I had just the perfect stamp set in mind when she asked me to do them: Under the Stars!
Sutton's canvas is matted for 4"x6" pictures...he is still in the hospital in NICU so she wanted to wait until he was home and had good pictures before adhering them to the canvas. :) Because these are not my children and I don't have permission to post pictures of them on the web, I have blurred out Gavin's cute little face from the pictures.
The DSP is no longer available, but everything else is current Stampin' Up! supplies, except the Liquid Applique I used for the marshmallows.

Smooch Spritz
I wanted to try some of the Vanilla Smooch Spritz from the Summer Mini Catalog so I picked a classy color scheme for my card palette: Pretty In Pink, Basic Black and Whisper White.
When I uploaded my pictures I was very disappointed that the beautiful shimmer on the card didn't transfer well in my pictures. The pictures do not do the spritz justice because quite frankly, you can't even see the shimmer in my photos. Oh well, you can still see the card and use your creative minds to imagine the shimmering sparkle on the card in real life. :)

Waving Good-bye Wednesday
Masculine cards are always a challenge for me, but this one seemed to come quite easy. I tried to keep it clean and neat, but added four small brads in each corner and a line of punched holes to add some texture and dimension.
Waving good-bye to Crushed Curry and Going Gray-such a great masculine color combo. :)

Summer Mini is Here!
Finally the new Summer Mini Catalog has arrived. This is a clean and simple (CAS) card that I made last night using a few things from the new mini: the Sweet Scoops stamp set and the square lattice embossing folder.
