Back to life

Canada was just beautiful. I definitely got in touch with my outdoor, naturistic (is that a word?) side. We stayed at the foot of the Canadian Rockies and saw some breathtaking landscape. Had a great time, but it was a long trip and it's always good to be back home in your own bed. Thought I would share a few pictures from the trip, then it's back to life tomorrow. I had a huge order waiting for me when I got home, so I spent most of today stamping with my new stuff. I will have some stamping posts again starting tomorrow.

Have a great week!

Canada

Well, my fellow readers...I am off to Canada for a business trip and won't be returning until the end of the month. I will share some pictures with you upon my return, but until then keep stamping! And stamp some for me too. :)

From our patch to yours

I always say that my birthday is my favorite holiday. But then I always forget how much I love Halloween until it rolls around. Not that I love what it stands for, but I love the colors, the pumpkins, the little ghosts, the goodies, the costumes...I just love it! Since most of the stores already have Halloween stuff out on display, I thought it wasn't too early for me to make a sneak peek of a stamp set in the upcoming Holiday Mini Catalog.

Happy (early) Halloween!

House thank yous

I had a cookout and house viewing party a couple of weeks ago and some of my wonderful friends unexpectedly brought house warming gifts. These are a few of the thank you cards I made. I decided to go all out and not use a single thing that is current (or even SU!), except the moving stamp. ha I don't do that very often, but I knew the recipients wouldn't know the difference and it gave me a chance to use some of my past favorite things. :) They are very basic, as I have a LOT of projects on my to-do list to get current.

Workshop Challenge

I held a workshop last night and since it was scheduled so quickly after convention, I decided to use one of the make-and-take designs from convention and change it up to give it a fall theme. The girls had a great time making these and learning how to sponge. :)

The first pic is of the front and the second is of the inside...they are a little dark because it had been raining outside, so my natural light was kaput (yes, that's a word-hee hee).

Convention

I had a blast at my first convention. Here are a few pics to briefly recap the exciting time we had in Salt Lake: (Aligning the captions was too difficult, so I erased them, sorry).

I'm back with a 3D swap

Convention was a blast! It was my first one to attend and I learned so much and had such a wonderful time. I was introduced to the world of "swapping" and took notes of some great techniques and ideas to use.

Since I didn't get home from out of state (made a one-day trip to Arkansas yesterday) until late last night and have had zero time in my scrap room in more than two weeks, I will share the 3D swap that I made for one of the organized swaps I participated in at convention. The box held small baggies of Skittles.

I will be back in the scrap room tonight and hope to be back on track with the blog before I leave for Canada on the 19th. Hope you have had a wonderful week.

Yikes

It's been a hectic, busy two weeks. I went on a business trip to Houston; Had a house-full of people over for a cookout the day after I got back to welcome them all into our new home; now I'm getting ready to fly out again to the Stampin' Up convention in Salt Lake (woo hoo!!).

I've pretty well got my scrap room organized the way I want it. The only things missing are the two cabinet doors my dear husband has to put on the shelves/cabinet he built for me. We had so many house projects before the cookout, that just didn't quite make it to completion. I will post pics of the scrap room after I get back from convention.

I hope to learn a lot to bring back to my creativity haven and to share with all of you. I have worked feverishly to get the swaps finished for the groups I signed up for. I didn't do any extra-too much going on. I did good to get those finished. ha!

Have a great week and I'll be back soon with some new ideas and posts!

Happy Stampin'!
