I'm back!

I'm back from Cancun. It was an adventure just to get there--what should have been only a 3 1/2 hour flight ended up taking 24 hours to get there! We went through 4 planes (3 with mechanical problems), had an emergency landing in Houston and they ended up cancelling our flight until the following morning. The next morning's flight was delayed due to weather, so needless to say I was starting to wonder if I was ever going to get there! Here are a few pictures from my trip. The 82 degree weather was a much welcomed relief from the 30s and snow that we've been having in Tulsa. But it's always good to be home again. :)

Beaches

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I am currently away on a business trip to Cancun (yes I'll be working!) until the end of next week. :) In honor of my beachy destination, I share with you two beach cards I've made and posted previously. Both cards are CASEs and the original postings with credit information can be found here and here.

50/50 Board

Now is a great time to order from Stampin' Up! with all of the wonderful promotions that go on with Sale-a-Bration! For every $50 that you spend, you get an item from the Sale-a-Bration brochure absolutely FREE! Who doesn't like FREE stuff?

To piggy-back with SU's SAB, I am offering my own incentive to buy from me now through the end of March. This is my 50/50 Board. For every $50 that you spend with me (pre tax/shipping), you get to select a number on my 50/50 Board and put your name on it. If I fill the board by the end of next month, I will draw a number at random and that person will win a $50 shopping spree from me! More FREE!! :D As you can see, the board is starting to fill up, so don't wait--order something today (good for online and in-person orders).

Club Appreciation

Last night was my stamp club appreciation party--it is the end of the year for this club, so as my way of saying "thanks" for their support this past year (and my first year as a Demonstrator), I had a little party for them in their honor. This is one of the make-n-takes we made using their final technique: the kissing technique. You can see the technique is used on the "love you" heart. I've seen a lot of people using the punched hearts as leaves on this tree, but more recently here are two that I have seen: Heather and Nancy.

Thank you to all of the gals that participated this past year!

Frosted Birthdays

I made this mini note card for one of my hostess's this weekend at her workshop. I love the bright colors, which makes for a Happy Birthday! I used the Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry and Bermuda Bay markers to make the Birthday cake pop.

Window of Love

I had a bunch of punched hearts left over from another project that I made, and decided there were too many to "just throw away." So I made this window/shaker card to display the hearts, made out of Sending Love Specialty Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Mini catalog.

I used Mary Fish's idea to add a little DSP to my envelope to make it coordinate with the card--what a perfect touch!

Happy Birthday Dad

Yesterday was my Dad's birthday, so I tried to make him a masculine card--a challenge for me, as I very rarely have the need to make anything masculine. I used the "Well Scripted" stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog and some of the Chocolate Chip sending love brads, also from the Occasions Mini.

Spring is in the air!

Not really. We just had yet another snow storm blow through Tulsa this past weekend and I am desperately in need of some spring in my life. We've been known to get some of our worst snows even in the middle of March. :( So my Mojo Monday challenge card was inspired by the thought of spring...in 45 days. :) Once again for my springs inspiration I am using the "Simply Said" stamp set.
