Mary Kay Thank You

My sister sells Mary Kay, so as part of her Christmas gift, I made her some "thank you" cards and a small bag of "thank you" tags that she can include with customer orders.

12 Weeks of Christmas-Christmas Day

Merry Christmas everyone! My last entry for this series is using a stamp set that I really love but have rarely used, I'm not sure why. Probaby because every time I would sit down to create something, I would get creator's block. :) Anyway, here is my final project: a brown paper bag front. It was raining outside so the Old Olive snowflakes have a tint of gold to them...maybe that's the Dazzling Diamonds I used on the centers of them? Who knows? :)

Hope you have a blessed Christmas!

Ingredient List:
Stamp Set-Serene Snowflakes (Holiday Mini Catalog, Holiday Best (Hostess, Level 1)
Card Stock-Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Whisper White
Ink-Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive
Tools-Paper piercer, two-way glue pen, large oval punch, scallop oval punch, regular hole punch, stampin' dimensionals, adhesive
Accessories-Clear rhinestone brads, Dazzling Diamonds, 1/2" Polka Dot Rich Razzleberry Grosgrain ribbon

Sneak Peak-Vintage Vogue

I've been playing around with a new stamp set that is coming out in the Occasions Mini Catalog January 4. I really like this set and from the sneak peaks that I've seen, a lot of other people love this set too. :)

Here's something I worked on yesterday:

Cheerleader Punch Art

I've been busy in my craft room this week, as I'm on vacation until the New Year. Then I realized some of the projects I've been working on are gifts, so I can't post them yet. :)

Here's some cheerleader punch art that I made for a customer of mine. These were CASEd from Rubber Stamping Diva, who does fantastic punch art!

Thank you

Here's a simple thank you card I made for a couple of customers of mine. I love using the buttons for some extra bling. :D

Shadowing Technique

This was the technique card I made for my club members this month. It's a CASE from a card my upline sent me when I was in her club, but I changed up the colors. :)

It makes me ready for spring. ha ha

These purses are for a customer of mine. She had seen one that I had made for a class I held, and asked me to make some for her. She provided the paper, which is the only thing not Stampin' Up! They are perfect for holding gift cards, jewelry, or any other smaller item. And they are just so gosh-darn cute! :)

Loads of Love

I had a workshop last night and the hostess wanted to do something themed around Valentine's Day, so this is what I came up with. If you look closely, you can see the hearts stamped in VersaMark on the Real Red card stock. You could easily step this card up a notch by adding a band of ribbon between the truck and the punched white heart. :)

12 Weeks of Christmas-Week 10

So I know that I've done bag toppers as one of the "12 Weeks" items before, but in my defense, Christmas IS the season of eating, and well, my husband made cinnamon candy so I had to think of something cute to hand it out to friends and family. :) Plus, it's my blog and I'm allowed to do whatever I want on it, right? Anyway, on to the pictures! The first set are the bags of cinnamon candy (and apple too!), and the second set are cute little decorated Peppermint Patties using one of my favorite stamp sets: "Holiday Lineup." Enjoy! Is it too early for Valentine's? I don't think so. Quite frankly, I could use the break from all the Christmas stuff I've been doing. :) This card is in response to the Late Night Stampers Group Challenge: Valentine's. This couldn't have come at a better time either, as I have a workshop next week, and the host has requested a Valentine theme, so this will inspire me to prepare the projects for her workshop. :)

Challenge Week

I was reviewing some of the resource tutorials on Splitcoaststampers this week, and decided to try one that I have had my eye on for quite some time: the crimped envelope pocket card. I really had fun making this card set, again using two of my favorite stamp sets: the "Medallion" and "Friends 24-7."

Mojo Monday Challenge 113

Here's the challenge sketch, and my interpretation of the sketch below. I just love this "Friends 24-7" stamp set. It is one of my favorites. Funny, because I waited a long time debating whether or not to even get it. :)

Hotel Carpet Challenge

When I went to Convention in August, my roommates told me about a challenge that they had started last year: to make a card using the colors in the carpet of a facility--for them it was a restaurant (they said it was a hideous color combo). So we all had talked about doing the carpet challenge using the colors of the Salt Lake Convention Center carpet. For one reason or another, we never finished the challenge.

I really liked the idea, and with as much travel as I do with my (full-time) job, I thought it would be a wonderful challenge to start for all of the travel venues I use moving forward! One of the girls in my monthly club was with me on my most recent trip to Houston and we decided to take the challenge using only the colors in the carpet at the Hilton Americas Hotel in downtown Houston. If I'd been thinking, I would have taken a picture of the carpet to post so you could see where the inspiration came from, but I didn't. I will try to start doing that.

The Hotel Carpet Color Challenge included the following colors:
Taken With Teal
Chocolate Chip
Very Vanilla
Dusty Durango
Ruby Red
Old Olive

Here are the cards that we did. Mine is the first and hers is the second. We had so much fun doing these!!

Gingerbread make me hungry! But that's the theme of this week's "12 Weeks of Christmas." I made little gingerbreads using only punches-no stamping. Card Stock-Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Whisper White, Old Olive
Ink-Chocolate Chip Classic Stampin' Pad
Accessories-White gel pen, 1-1/4" circle punch, Small tag punch, word window punch, heart to heart punch, 1/4" grosgran Chocolate Chip ribbon, glue dots, dimensionals, silver brads, wide oval punch
