Bear on a Beach

This card is a shameless CASE, but I couldn't resist! This bear is so cute all dressed up like he's on a beach soaking up the rays. I don't have the flower punch for the lay, so I adapted using flower brads. I heart this bear, and the "Under the Stars" stamp set.

On another note, this will be my last post for about a week. I'm moving tomorrow and won't have internet connection hooked back up until early next week. Have a great week!!

Waves of grain

I have been super busy packing up my house getting ready for the move at the end of the week, but I took a moment to stamp a few cards to keep my blog going for a few days longer this week. I was really excited to get my new stuff from the new catty and decided a card using the new colors and stamp set were appropriate. The grain is from the new set. The sentiment is from a hostess set in this year's catty. Enjoy!

In Color Sneak Peek

Last night was my first chance to get my hands on the new stuff I pre-ordered from the new catty. I've had it since Monday, but we are having Vacation Bible School nightly at church and I am helping this year. Hence my lack of time to play. Anyhow, here is the first card I made using my new goodies. The stamp set is from the current catalog, but the colors and paper are from the new one.

Summer Fruit Hostess Gift

This is the hostess gift for my club member for June. I wanted something summery and since I already used the "Life's A Breeze" stamp set for one of my hostesses, I decided fruit would be the next best thing. I probably could have trimmed the large green ribbon more on the ends, but oh well. :) *Update* It varies each month, but this month's set included one milk carton with candy, one milk carton with a small bag of brads, and two milk cartons with various SU ribbon!

Good-bye Heartfelt

I've seen the challenge floating around where you take one retiring stamp set and use it three different ways. So I decided to take the challenge and used one of my very favorite stamp sets, "Heartfelt Thanks," which I am sure to have a mourning party for. I am SO sad to see it leaving the catalog. It is a stamp set that is so easy to throw a card together for if I need one quickly. So after a quick moment of silence for my dear favorite stamp set, I post these three CAS card pics:

New In-Colors

For those that frequent my blog that aren't SU demonstrators, these are the new In-Colors that will be featured in the new catalog starting July 1! Although I will dearly miss Baja Breeze and Kiwi Kiss, these are very bright, fun colors too and I am sure I will quickly fall in love with them. :)

In other non-stamping news, I am working very hard to get my house in order for our move at the end of the month, so while I will still try really hard to get cards made and posted for the blog, they may be sporadic. Bear with me for the next couple of weeks. :) Thanks.

Butterfly Effect

I really should start taking these pictures outside where the lighting is better. Please forgive my laziness in this regard. :)

Another card for a co-worker. I added some Stickles to the flower on the wing to give it a little sparkle.

Happy Monday!

Bowl full of cherries

Here's another card I made using the Tart and Tangy stamp set. It is one of my favorite stamp sets for summer time. (Yes, I realize I have a lot of "favorites"--ha) And I'm trying to use up all of the DSP and retiring colors I have so I can make room for the new goodies and In Colors. It's hard. I love the Kiwi Kiss and Baha Breeze colors so much. I'm really going to miss them when they retire June 30. But the new In Colors are awesome and bright, so I'm sure I'll have no trouble falling in love with those too! ;)

Happy Cupcake Birthday!

A coworker requested that I make a birthday card for her daughter's friend who is having a birthday tomorrow. Her original request was a Jack-Jack themed card from the Incredibles, but no one in my area has any paper/embellishments with Jack-Jack, so something girly was her next request. :) Here's what I came up with. The inside has "Happy Birthday" embossed in red. I'm not happy with the yellow tint that my camera is so fond of when I take pictures inside. It's rainy out too, so that doesn't help my cause. It's much brighter in person. :)

ROAR and Smores

Mike and I talked about going camping this weekend, as it is our last free weekend before we start doing moving stuff. That reminded me of one of my favorite stamp sets "Under the Stars" and inspired me to make this card. Now I really want to go camping this weekend. :)

Fabulous Friend

Nothing much new this weekend besides my brand new sunburn from laying out by the pool yesterday-ouch! And this card I made during some downtime. Enjoy!
