Baby Booming

I went to another friend's baby shower yesterday. The card I made was a onesie that was inspired by Lauren Meader. My friend is having a baby girl, so I chose to do the cuffs in a hot pink with a light black accent in the center.

Oranges, Limes, and Lemons

This is my first attempt at participating in a blogger's challenge, so forgive me if I don't do this post "correctly." :) I've seen this challenge on several blogs, so I finally decided to give it a try. Can you tell that I'm really ready for summer? My last few posts have been very bright and "summery." Is that a word? It is in my vocabulary. Enjoy!

Yikes stripes, fruit striped gum!

Things have been a little wacko-busy for us this weekend. We are in the process of getting a few things in order for our move next month, so I apologize for the lack of posts lately. I promise to be back in the swing of things tomorrow. Thanks for hanging in there with me. :)

Checkbook Covers

I held a workshop last night for a woman who had been involved in SU about 10 years ago. Back in the day, SU sold checkbook covers and that was the project she had made at a workshop. So when she was reintroduced to SU at a workshop I held, she immediately wanted to hold a workshop, but really wanted the project to be another checkbook cover. Since SU doesn't sell the covers anymore, I did some research and found some online for a decent price. So last night we made checkbook covers and the ladies LOVED them. They were such a hit, and most of them were surprised you could do things, such as the checkbook covers, other than cards with the SU product. It went over so well I think I will offer that option when I do workshops in the future. Everyone can use a good checkbook cover now and then! :)

I pre-cut different options of the Parsian Breeze Specialty DSP for them to choose from so they could customize the cover to fit their own taste. I used my personal favorite stamp set "Heartfelt Thanks" for the covers. Here is the sample I made:

Good Morning Sunshine

This paper makes me so excited for summer! I can't wait until it's sunny and warm everyday. Time to dig out the flip flops, the capris, and tank tops. Woo hoo!!

Bella Rose

I love the Bella Rose DSP! It's so pretty and this stamp set coordinates with it perfectly! I borrowed the set from one of my club members and tried out-I absolutely love it and plan to buy it soon. Not sure if you can tell, but I added Stickles to the roses and leaves to make them sparkle a little bit.

Another milk carton gift

I wrapped up another month for my club, and made another Milk Carton set for this month's hostess. The stamp set I used for this one is from a catalog a long time ago and I actually bought the set on eBay many years ago. I was happy to have something girly to use for her box set. I put some goodies inside each box.

DSP Galore!

In honor of National Scrapbooking Month, SU has a promotion going on for the month of May: for every 3 pack of Designer Series Paper you buy, you get one pack FREE. I love FREE stuff, especially paper, so I definitely took advantage of this deal. The order arrived yesterday, so I challenged myself to make one card from every pack of DSP I got before I could go to bed. Most are CAS (clean and simple), as it was getting late already when I started this project. These are the cards I made and their coordinating DSP.

Good Morning Sunshine DSP (sorry for the yellow tint from the lighting):

Thank you

Here's a quick thank you card I threw together with some scraps I had leftover. I absolutely love this color scheme and have been wanting to try it out since I first got my catalog. Not sure why I waited until now.
