This weekend was BFF's baby shower, so I have been busy this past week getting things ready for that. I decided to make her a diaper cake using the colors of her nursery and little diaper candy favors.
The only thing on the diaper cake that isn't Stampin' Up! is the wide ribbon coming from the top of the cake, because SU doesn't have a red ribbon that wide. :D
I got the diaper candy favor idea from a 3D swap I received at convention last year. I saved it thinking I might have a reason to use it someday, and viola! Now I did. I took the one I received apart and traced it for a pattern. Then embellished it and put small cello bags of gummy bears inside. All the ladies loved them and they were so easy to make!

Watercoloring Preview
This is another preview from the upcoming Summer Mini Catalog, using the "Elements of Style" stamp set. This stamp is perfect for water coloring--I used my Watercolor Wonder Crayons with my Aqua Painter to bring these flowers to life.
I love the elegance and simplicity of this stamp that I hated to add too much embellishment to the card, afraid I would take away from the image. The bird image is the inside of the card.

Golf punch art
My brother-in-law's birthday was a few weeks ago and I forgot to share with you the card that I made for him. My sister told me that he was really wanting a certificate to play some golf, so I made this card and included some cash for him to buy a round. This card is a CASE of this one-it was too perfect to tweak, so I left it exactly as she made it. :)

Waving Good-bye Wednesday
When I think of summer, I think of ice cream. What better way to celebrate the warmer weather than with this sneak peek card using the "Sweet Scoops" stamp set from the upcoming Summer Mini Catalog (begins May 1).
The ice cream was created using the "kissing technique" and if you look closely on the Summer Sun paper, you can see the stamped cherries in VersaMark. The Modern Label punch was used on the left side of the ice cream to add some texture.
Waving Good-bye to:
Summer Sun, Close to Cocoa and Bermuda Bay (if these are some of your favorites, stock up now--they will be gone after June 30)

Hostess Notebook-Altered
I altered a spiral notebook and added a little bit of flair to it for my monthly club hostess gift this month. I used paper from the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Stack and added a couple Pumpkin Circle Fire Rhinestone Brads for a classy, but fun look. I used the Whisper White Craft Ink to sponge some color on the "R" chipboard letter.

Bright Bird
This is my first attempt at using the two-step bird punch from the Occasions Mini Catty. I pulled out some of the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper (DSP) for some colorful accents and the subtle background of the polka-dotted texturz plate.

Fabulous Friend
This is a clean and simple card I made using the "Oval All" stamp set, coordinating punches, and a handy-dandy tool that I love: the paper piercer and mat pack, which works fabulously to make straight lines of paper piercing!

Administrative Professional
A friend of mine asked me Saturday if I could make a card for Administrative Professional's Day coming up later this month. I knew immediately what I would do! My favorite punch queen, Ellen Kemper, had created the perfect office gal, so I CASED her for my card. :)
The image is a wee bit blurry as I took it using my camera phone.

Blog Candy
Well, it's Saturday, the day to announce the blog candy winner, but I'm not sure what to say. :) Either I didn't pick a very good item for blog candy or no one really wanted to leave a comment because I didn't have a single person leave a comment for the blog candy...so I'm going to give the cards and tin to a friend who has been on my mind for a while instead.
Happy Saturday everyone-get out and do something FUN! It's gorgeous here in Tulsa! Love it!

Blog Candy
As I mentioned yesterday, it is the first birthday of my blog. To celebrate that and my appreciation for you, my readers, I have some blog candy today! A set of 4 mini note cards with envelopes and a coordinating tin to carry them in.
How do you get a chance to win this? Simply leave a comment on this post stating what you have learned from my blog (a technique, an idea, etc) or even something that you simply liked and I'll put all of the names of those that contribute into a random drawing. You have until end of the day Friday to add your comment to be included. Come back Saturday for the winner!
Thanks again for all your support during my first year as a Demonstrator and a stamping blogger!
Happy Stamping!
Amy :)

Happy Birthday Blog!
My blog is one year old today. :) It's hard for me to believe that I have been doing this for a year, but I still love being able to share my creativity and my passion for stamping with you, so thanks for stopping by...whether its occasionally or regularly-YOU are appreciated! To show my appreciation, come back tomorrow--I will have some blog candy to give away!! :)
In celebration of the announcement of Stampin' Up!'s color renovation, I have given myself a challenge, and I encourage you to join me: every Wednesday for a while (not sure how long), I will post projects that I have created using colors that will be retiring June 30. Consider it my tribute to some of my favorite colors and other colors that I may not have used as frequently. Hope you find some inspiration from these and that you take the opportunity to purchase some of your favorite retiring colors while you can!
For my blog's birthday, I will start my challenge out with a birthday card using the "Simple Birthday Thanks" cupcake stamp and a little dazzling diamonds. The sparkle on the cherry is actually red tinted dazzling diamonds--leftover from this project I made. I used a crimper to make the cupcake holder look realistic.
Retiring Colors Used: Ruby Red, Bermuda Bay, Close to Cocoa

They have modified the groups into collections (instead of families) and brought some old favorites back and added some new and exciting colors to the collections as well. The news from Stampin' Up!:

Dear Friend
Clean and simple card I made using some heart punches. I poked one of the epoxy brads into the white grommet for an extra touch of dazzle.

Black Magic Technique
Happy Monday Friends!
From April 1-30 only, you can buy the brand-new Awash with Flowers Two-Step Stampin' set—or get it FREE when you host a $350 workshop!
This card was inspired by this one, only I modified the technique and used my Watercolor Wonder Crayons instead of the Colored Pencils (I don't have the pencils) to make this very catchy Black Magic technique.
Contact me today to get started two-steppin' into spring!
