Big Shot Club Projects

These are two coordinating projects that my Big Shot monthly club made last week. The take out box is perfect for gift boxes to fill with treats, cash, jewelry or other fun small sized treats. It requires the Petal Cone die.

It also highlights thh "Flight of the Butterfly" and "Butterfly Prints" stamp sets, both which are retiring May 31. If these are two of your favorite stamp sets, like they are mine, just hop on over to my online store and get your own set before it's too late!

For more inspiration featuring these stamp sets, here are a few past projects that I've created using these stamp sets. Hurry up now--head on over and get your own set! :)

Mini Calendar-August

August is the last official month of summer, and it's still VERY hot in Tulsa, so I decided to create a very outdoorsy felt layout. I pulled the grass stamp from the "Inspired by Nature" stamp set and stamped it a few times for some grass, and stamped the butterfly from "Butterfly Prints." Added a couple of layers and viola! A finished layout in just a couple of minutes!

August workshops continued

This is the last batch of my August workshop projects. It's ironic--I've had these projects finished for weeks and yesterday morning I walked into church and the praise and worship team/choir's outfit color palette were these EXACT colors: Wild Wasabi, Tempting Turquoise, Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White! I couldn't believe it--it made me smile...and then I thought how obsessed I must be that the first thing I associate when I see colors are the names of our color palette. ;) I know I'm not the only out there who does this, am I right? :D

The first image was my first Demo-clean and simple, to show guests how easy stamping is so that anyone can do it! Then I Demo'd the coordinating 3D Matchbox treat box, made using the Big Shot.

Finally, I showed finished projects: a stepped up card and coordinating scrapbook layout, for those who aren't as interested in card making.

Coming up with the color palette for these layouts was a cinch using our marvelously re-designed color coach.

Love like a Butterfly

It's like Christmas in July at my house! I received a very large order of new goodies from the brand new Idea Book & Catalog on Friday, so I spent my weekend playing with my new stuff: new Designer Series Paper, stamp sets, ribbons, brads, buttons, embossing folders, tools, etc etc.

The "Butterfly Prints" stamp set is perfect for summer time and coordinates nicely with "Flight of the Butterfly." And the Sweet and Sour DSP just squeals summertime with it's bright, lavish color scheme!

To top it off, I added a couple of buttons to the card front for extra dimension and character.
