Saying Good-bye Upsy Daisy

The "Upsy Daisy" stamp set is such a great set for spring, and I've found to be an excellent stamp set for the Shadow technique (stamping a dark color of ink, with a white Craft ink slightly offset from the first stamped image). This stamp set is waving good-bye to us on May 31. It's been a wonderful stamp set for projects and I'll miss it. If it's your favorite stamp set, be sure to get your own set today before it's gone!

Sympathy Card

One of my sweet friends lost her beloved doggy, so I made this card for her to let her know I was thinking about her. Being a dog lover myself, I know how difficult it is to lose your animal. They are a part of your family and it just hurts so much. :( This card features the "D is for Dog" stamp set, which is retiring on May 31. It also uses the Poppy Parade In-Color which is also retiring May 31. If this is one of your favorite colors to create projects with, hop on over to stock up on card stock, ink and ribbon!

Mojo Monday

Happy Monday to you!

Today's project used the Mojo Monday sketch challenge. This was one of the easiest sketches to replicate and I spent no time at all piecing this card together. I used the 1-1/4" square punch to make perfect, even rows. Then to make lining up the squares a little easier, I simply cut a piece of card stock down to 5" x 3-3/4" as a base to adhere the pieces together like a puzzle.

The butterly and sentiment is from the "Cottage Garden" stamp set that will be retiring on May 31, so be sure to head over to my online store and pick up your set today before it's too late!

MDS-St Patty's Day Race

I started working on an 8"x8" digital album of the races that I've been running. It's sort of a combination of efforts to knock out two birds with one stone: play around with My Digital Studio more, and to remember all of the work that I've put into my new hobby. I've spent a lot of time in the past 6 months running, training, racing and I have a few photos that have documented some of the races I've done, so I thought a small 8"x8" album would be great.

This layout was inspired by Heather's.

Get Well Soon

One of my sweet little gals from church (she's 8) fell out of a tree and broke her little arm. Broke my heart. She's such a little cutie patootie. :)

So, I made this little Get Well Soon treat box and attached it to a balloon. It uses my beloved Matchbox Die and the "It's a Wrap Occasions" stamp set that I use so much. It's so versatile, I'm telling you--it should be a MUST HAVE in your stamp stash too!

Easter treats

So this is a couple of days late, but better late than never yeah? :)

I made some Easter sour cream containers for my department at work. Filled them with a few Easter candy pieces and tagged on the sweet little punch bunny (this one to scale) inspired by Mary Fish.

Happy Easter

Looking at my small oval punch, I thought about how it would make the perfect Easter egg, so I quickly threw together a coordinating Easter basket using the 2-1/2" circle punch and some scraps for the basket weave.

The bunny was inspired by Mary Fish's sweet baby bunny, but I adjusted the punches to make mine a little bigger than hers.

Shoebox Swap Bitty Box

My upline and downline got together last night and did a Shoebox Swap. If you don't know what that is, it's where a group gets together to make different projects. Each person attending creates a project to share with the group and brings all of the supplies necessary to create that project, but everything needed must fit into a shoebox (or box of similar size). Then you set up different stations and move around to each station creating each of the projects that were brought! It's a lot of fun and you leave with great project ideas.

For my project, I opted for the Bitty Box which neatly holds 4 mini cards--a great gift for a friend.

The top of the box displays a small sampling of the "Flirtatious Specialty" DSP, which is what I used for my starting point and how I ended up with this color scheme. I will be sharing the other projects that I made in the days to follow. Come back tomorrow for more!
