I always try to challenge myself creatively, but this one took the cake. I received an invite to one of my friend's daughter's birthday party. It had a cute Strawberry Shortcake on the front of the invite and I thought, "Hmm, I could make a punch art Strawberry Shortcake, no problem, and put her on a birthday card."
Yikes. It kicked my tail, but here is the result. You probably wouldn't know who she was if I hadn't said, but that's okay. At least I tried, right? :)

New address
One of my friends recently moved and she asked me to create a simple post card layout for her to replicate to send to her friends announcing her new move. I used the Good Neighbors stamp set from the Sale-a-Bration promotion, which is no longer available, but it is still such a super cute set!

Happy Father's Day
I'm a few days late in posting this, but this is the card that I made for my dad for Father's Day. I've seen plenty of punch monkeys in my day, but never a punched banana like this one. I was so excited to have my own "punch creation" even if it was just a tiny banana. ;) But how much cuter is he holding it? :D

Diaper Favor Tutorial
I have had several requests for instructions on how to create the diaper favors from BFF's baby shower. Below is a picture by picture tutorial which I hope is of help to you. This is not my original idea--I received one of these in a swap last year at convention, but do not have the information for the original creator.
Have fun-they were super easy to make and so adorable!
P.S. Don't laugh at my grungy template--I always use the cardboard pieces that come in the DSP packs for scratch paper and happen to cut my template from one I'd used a lot. ha ha Ignore my hand written notes on the cardboard piece--they don't mean anything--just the dimensions on the white paper underneath. :)

Elements of Style
I used the new color coach (available July 1) to inspire me with this color combination: Night of Navy, Marina Mist (new!) and Whisper White. This Elements of Style stamp set (available in wood mount or clear mount) gives the perfect display of beauty. I used Stampin' Write Markers to fill in the color of the flowers.

Sneak Peek
This card demonstrates a delicious display of sample squares from the new Greenhouse Gala DSP and 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon from the new Idea Book & Catalog available July 1. This DSP makes me very happy in brightness and fresh colors. The card also gives you a preview of the new upcoming stamp set "Perfect Punches" that features a different coordinating punch with each stamp!
The Clear Circle die layers perfectly over the Scallop Circle die, both used very simply with the Big Shot Machine.

Happy Retirement
One of my long-time friends from a previous employer is retiring today, so I wanted to make her a special card wishing her congratulations. I used the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder to give the card some texture on the Melon Mambo card stock. And adding brads to jazz up the Scallop Trim border really gives this card some extra flair!

Sneak Peek
My long-time friend got married this past weekend--it was outdoors and just beautiful! I used some of my new sneak peek goodies from the upcoming Idea Book and Catalog (available July 1) to make her and Dell a "Congratulations" card and coordinating envelope. I just love how bright and cheery this DSP is!

Kissing Scoops
The "Sweet Scoops" stamp set from the Summer Mini Catalog is the perfect stamp set to demonstrate the kissing technique. What a simple technique to add texture to your stamped images!
This mini-card is one that I demonstrated at a recent workshop. Going to miss Bermuda Bay, which is the color used in this card, which will be retiring at the end of the month. So long, farewell, good-bye! :)

Spotlight Friendship
This is a card I used for a Make-n-Take project at a recent workshop. It highlights the spotlight technique. I used Melon Mambo and Old Olive (my go-to color) to make this card bright and summery.

Waving Good-bye Wednesday
Yesterday the list of retiring stamp sets and accessories was released. So today's card is devoted to all things that are retiring at the end of the month. I'll be honest, masculine cards are not my forte, but I really wanted to use the "Just Basketball" stamp set. Basketball is my favorite sport to watch (even though I'm a terrible player!) so I dug it out today to wave good-bye.
Waving good-bye to: Brilliant Blue, Really Rust, Creamy Caramel (sponging), Bold Brights brads, Itty Bitty Backgrounds (sniff, sniff) and Just Basketball

Happy Birthday
Happy 6th Birthday to my Baby Bear, my little Simey Boy. Although we've only had Simon for 5 years this July, he has been the love of our life from the day we brought him home and I can't imagine our lives without him in it.
Happy Birthday to my favorite little bear!
