Chalkboard Cards with Canning Jars

Friday night we are holding a Women's Event at our church. The theme is "Friend of God" and the decor (there will be a dinner) will be an old time country fair with burlap, chalkboards, canning jars and all things trendy right now. I was asked to create table tents for the tables.

The first set of cards I made were with the "Perfectly Preserved" stamp set and coordinating Embosslits and used the "Woodgrain Textured Embossing Folder," all of which were introduced in the Holiday Mini Catalog, but are still available for purchase.

The second batch of cards I made were inspired and CASEd (Copy and Share Everything) from Becky Roberts' adorable mini chalkboards using the chalkboard technique. Don't these just make you want to spit bananas?! They rocked my world so much I just had to share them with you. :)

Friends Canvas

I recently held a Friends Canvas Class where each person got to create this colorful canvas. the canvas focused on the "Razzleberry Splash" Scrappin' Kit which is loaded with color! Some of the gals opted to change the word "Friends" to "Sisters" and they turned out so cute.

Rosette Banner

Rosette's are another very trendy decor piece to add some flair to your latest function or celebration. This Happy Birthday rosette would make the perfect focal piece for a birthday party.

The Designer Rosette Bigz XL die is the star of this project with a 10" diameter! Add some accent pieces to the center to make it suitable for your event.

Betsy's Blossoms

This is the second project that we made at the Open House last week. It features the other two new In-Colors: Raspberry Ripple and Primrose Petals (does that make you think of Hunger Games? ha ha, J/K)

I love the bold statement that the circle image makes. And just a hint of the "Floral District DSP" was used at the top to coordinate the new In-Colors with the Tangerine Tango.

Everything Eleanor

More flag pennants! They are everywhere people, and my projects are no exception! :) This card is one that my guests created at my Open House last Friday. It features three of the five brand new In-Colors. They are so bright and cheery, you just can't help but smile when looking at them.

The floral image is from the new "Everything Eleanor" stamp set, which is a set that has a vintage vibe to it, but you could pull off trendy projects with this stamp set as well, if you use some creativity.

I placed one of the small pearls as an accent to the center of the floral image. Just an extra touch of classy.

Happiness Scrap Layout

Another easy project that features the "Floral District Designer Series Paper." This DSP just lends itself to easy designs and fresh layouts. It also highlights one of my go-to punches right now, the Blossom punch, which is very trendy and current.

Bright Bird

I hosted an Open House last Friday night at my home to show off the new catalog product and give my customers an opportunity to see projects created from the new product and make a few themselves.

This was a card that I had on display that features the "Besty's Blossoms" stamp set and the delightfully cheerful "Floral District Designer Series Paper."

The card design is a CASE from Heather Summers' card, but I changed up the colors and stamp sets to make it my own. Pennants and flags are really popular right now--you see them everywhere, so I love that this card incorporates that.

Happy Graduation

I'm really behind in posting projects on my blog. :-\ Yikes. I'll spare you the excuses and just dig right in...

This was a graduation card that I made for my SIL who graduated from college this year. So proud of her. This card is basically an exact CASE of this card that Mary Fish created. It was just so perfect that I didn't change anything (even Tammy's school colors!).

It features the adorable owl punch.

Saying Good-bye Crazy for Cupcakes

My niece had her first birthday this past week and we celebrated with her on Saturday. I made this simple birthday card for her. It features my favorite birthday stamp set, "Crazy for Cupcakes," which will be retiring on May 31. I added a little Dazzling Diamonds on the mini cupcakes to give it some sass!

Happy 1st Birthday Miss Alyx!

Saying Good-bye Medallion

The Medallion stamp set has been one of my favorite large, background stamps since it was introduced a few years back. I have used it on a lot of projects: cards, calendars, coasters. It's just an elegant stamp and has been a popular "go-to" stamp for me.

This was an easy card to create and got me out of my comfort zone and got me to use my embossing powder and heat tool, which I haven't used in a very long time. I simply stamped the image with VersaMark onto white card stock, then poured clear embossing powder over it and heat embossed the image. Grabbed a sponge and added some color around the image and viola! A finished card with just a touch of ribbon. Easy peasy! :)

We're saying good-bye to the Medallion on May 31, so be sure and get yours today! This card also features the Concord Crush In-Color which is retiring May 31 as well. If this is your favorite color to create projects with, hop on over and stock up on card stock, ink, and ribbon!
